Mr. Alpian R. Allen, former Member of Parliament for North Leeward, passed away on 18th August, 2026. Mr. Allen will be accorded an official funeral on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026.

The official viewing of the body is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026, at the temporary Parliament Building at Calliaqua. Officials and Dignitaries will be invited to the viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Viewing for the general public will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The funeral service is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026, at the Kingstown Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. This will be preceded by the viewing at the church from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for officials. Viewing for the general public and open tributes will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Kingstown Cemetery.

As a mark of respect, all flags throughout the state will be flown at half-mast on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026.

Persons attending the official viewing are requested to be properly attired.

The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines takes this opportunity to extend sincere condolences to the family of the late Mr. Alpian R. Allen during this period of bereavement.
